  2.                            SHAREWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT

  6.        This  software  and documentation is protected by both United States 
  7.        copyright  law and international treaty provisions. This "Shareware" 
  8.        version  of MODCOM  is  NEITHER PUBLIC  DOMAIN  NOR  FREE  SOFTWARE.
  9.        Users are granted  a  limited  license to make and use an evaluation
  10.        copy for  trial  use on  a private, non-commercial, non-governmental
  11.        basis, for  the  express  purpose  of  determining  whether   MODCOM
  12.        suitable for their needs. At the end of this trial period you should
  13.        either register MODCOM or discontinue use.

  15.        You  may make copies of the software and documentation only for your 
  16.        own  use or for the use of others in conducting their own trial use, 
  17.        however  all materials relating to this license statement, software, 
  18.        documentation,    order   information,   copyright   and   trademark  
  19.        statements  must remain intact as supplied in the original shareware 
  20.        package.  You  may  not  distribute,  rent, sublicense, integrate or 
  21.        lease  the software or the documentation. You may not alter, modify, 
  22.        or  adapt  the  software or documentation, including but not limited 
  23.        to   translating,   decompiling,  reverse  assembling,  or  creating 
  24.        derivative  works.  You  may  not  use  the  software  in a network, 
  25.        timesharing, multiple  CPU, or  multi-user  environment.  Registered
  26.        copies are  licensed  only  for use  BY  the  registrant on a single
  27.        computer.  You  may not   use registered   copies on   more than one
  28.        computer at the same time.  Registrations are non-transferrable.

  30.        The author  disclaims all   warranties, either   express or implied,
  31.        including but  not limited to implied warranties of  merchantability
  32.        and fitness  for a particular purpose, with  respect to the software
  33.        and any accompanying written materials. In no event shall the author
  34.        be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation,
  35.        damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of
  36.        business information, or  other pecuniary  loss) arising  out of the
  37.        use of  this  product,  even if  the author  has been advised of the
  38.        possibility of  such damges.  Because some  states do  not allow the
  39.        exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental
  40.        damges, the above limitations may not apply to you.
